I haven't finished the manga yet but am reading it and so far I feel it was worth the buy. I'm the type of person who wants to see every angle of an anime/show I like and the manga, so far, def shows a good amount more than the anime. Lots of small details. I also recommend getting the death note encyclopedia. It's vol. 13 I believe

The second arc broke my heart. Everyday Misa evolved more and more to Lights servant, but she didn't get any attention or even a brief smile from Light. I often listen to the death note soundtrack.
